Signs That a Guy You Barely Know Is Interested in You

You have met him a couple of times and he seems nice enough, but you are unsure of his angle. Maybe he's into you and is shy or maybe he just wants to be friends. If you pay attention to what he is saying without using any words you may discover that he is interested in getting to know you better.

Guys may pal up to your best friends in hopes of getting to know you better. He may learn some embarrassing stories about you from your friends, but he can also get to know your hobbies, likes and dislikes and what you look for in a date. Hanging around with your circle may indicate that he's inching closer to you. If he tells a joke and everyone around the table is laughing, he will look at you to see if you are laughing, too.

Analyze his body language. If a guy likes you, he will show it in the way he presents himself around you. He will rarely turn his back toward you and will lean toward you when you are talking. He will look at you often, but eye contact may either make him look away quickly if he is shy or if he's not shy, he will catch your gaze and hold onto it.

Because rejection is always a dating possibility, a guy you barely know is likely to be nervous around you. Everyone handles this type of anxiety in a different way. He may overcompensate his nerves by talking about himself, his work, his cat at home, and everything in between. Sweaty palms, nervous laughter, deep breaths and obvious fidgeting are all signs that this guy is nervous to be around you, which may indicate that he's interested in you.

When a man is interested in dating you, he may not know how to express himself. Some men make up for this by making you the center of his focus. He compliments you on your new outfit or new purse. He may offer to do some home repairs for you or go with you to buy a new car, help you at work or run an errand to save you time. He wants you to notice him and feel special because he views you as special.
