Chatroulette is an Internet service that allows people to communicate with one another via their webcams. Instead of selecting the specific person you'll be speaking with, Chatroulette randomly assigns you a partner. If something isn't displaying quite right in your Web browser you can adjust the webcam settings for your machine through the main browser interface. Change settings relating both to the video displaying to a partner as well as the volume of your camera's recording equipment.

Open your Web browser and visit the main Chatroutlette website.
Select the webcam connected to your computer that you want to use from the drop-down window below the camera display boxes on screen. The relevant settings for that camera will be displayed next to the drop-down menu.
Select the "No Camera" listing from the menu on screen if you want to disable your webcam. You will still be able to see other people, but other people can't see you.
Use the horizontal slider bars to adjust the audio levels from your webcam's speakers and microphone, respectively. Moving the slider bars to the right turns each device up in volume, while moving the slider bars to the left turns each device down in volume. Any settings changes to the way your webcam operates take affect immediately.
