The Fiat Grande Punto was first released for the 2005 model year. Each Grande Punto is equipped with a maintenance reminder system that illuminates a service message on the instrument cluster when the system has determined that it's time for regular maintenance. After the maintenance is performed, the service indicator needs to be reset so the computer can track when the next service is due. A Fiat dealer will reset the service indicator if it performs the maintenance. If you do the maintenance yourself, you can reset the light manually.
