Disconnect and reconnect the guitar controller to the controller port on your PlayStation 2.

Contact Activision for a replacement if the guitar still does not work.

TIP
Ensure you are using a guitar controller compatible with the game you are playing. The Guitar Hero 5 controller and other USB guitar controllers will not work with Guitar Hero I, II and World Tour.
