Memory foam is considerably more dense than the material used to make most standard mattresses. Due to memory foam's density, the procedure for fluffing a foam mattress is slightly different than it is for fluffing a regular mattress.
Remove everything on top of the memory foam, including mattress covers, sheets, blankets and pillows.
Pick up the mattress and shake it, as you would shake a large comforter before folding.
Let the mattress sit for one to two hours, with nothing on top.
Rotate the mattress (put the end that was at your feet by the bed's headboard, but do not flip the mattress upside down) and replace the sheets, pillows and other bedding.

Repeat this procedure once every three months to increase the longevity and comfort of your memory foam mattress.
TIP
Try to get another person to help you shake the mattress. Stand at each end, hold the mattress in the air and shake. This variation will more effectively break up the formations that the mattress has settled into.
