There are situations when you receive phone calls from cell phone numbers that you’re unfamiliar with, and you don’t want to answer unless you know who it is. In those cases, you can generally locate the address and name of the caller using a reverse cell phone directory. These directories are helpful tools, especially for victims of prank calls. However, unlike landline phone directories, most of the cellphone directories ask for a fee for looking up the information.

Go to one of the reverse cell phone directory websites (see Resources).
Enter the phone number in the format 555-555-5555.
Click “View Details” when the website returns the results.
Make the payment through credit card after clicking on “Add to Cart.” This will probably cost you 99 cents to £3, as of 2010.
