Even at stores that offer low prices on most products, a g-string thong costs as much as three or four dollars each. Such prices for one pair of skimpy cloth and string makes no sense when you can make your own for pennies on the dollar, in your choice of fabric. Making your own exotic panties allow you to customise the clothing item to fit your body, size and curves for maximum comfort. Within minutes and with minimal supplies, you will have your own handmade g-string thong at little cost.
Measure your body to determine the sizes of each piece of the g-string thong. Use the tape measure to measure around your hips where the waistband of the g-string will lay against your body. Mark this line on your front and back with a washable marker and measure the distance from the front line, between your legs to the back line.

Determine where you want the material to cover on the front of your body. Draw on your body with the washable marker where the front material of the g-string should cover. Measure the width at the top of the triangular piece, and then measure from the top line in the previous step, down to the spot over your groin where the material will stop and the string begins.
Subtract the length of the triangular piece from the total length from the front line on your body in step 1, between your legs to the back line.

Draw the dimensions of the triangular piece in step 2 onto a sheet of paper and cut out the piece. Place the cut-out pattern against your body to determine if the pattern achieves the desired size and position. If incorrect, re-draw or re-measure the pattern piece as necessary.
Use the pattern and measurements from the previous steps to cut out the pieces for the g-string thong. Cut the triangle pattern from a piece of material in your chosen fabric; consider cotton, lace, mesh or silk materials. Cut the waist band and rear string of the g-string from a thin piece of elastic in the necessary lengths.

Sew a 1/4-inch hem on all three edges of the triangular piece of material using a sewing machine. Place the waistband elastic piece under the top hem of the triangle, and sew the band into the hem to create a more rip-resistant g-string thong. Place the ends of the elastic string under this triangle piece.
Attach one end of the remaining elastic piece to the tip of the triangle piece. Use a zigzag stitch to attach the two parts securely.
Pull the other end of the elastic string up to meet the back of the waistband piece. Use zigzag stitches again to secure the rear string to the waistband string.
