Fill an empty coffee can with 1 pound of beeswax pellets (See resources below for places to purchase beeswax pellets.) Place the coffee can into the top of a double boiler. Fill the bottom of a double boiler 1/2 full of water. Place the top of the double boiler inside the bottom part of the double boiler, and heat the unit over medium heat until the beeswax melts.
Line a Swiss roll pan with waxed paper. Make sure that the wax side of the paper is facing out. Carefully pour the beeswax from the coffee can into the Swiss roll pan until the wax is 1/8 inch thick. Place the coffee can back into the double boiler to keep the rest of the wax warm.
