Ride-on mowers can make large lawns and acreage easier to trim, and may be used to haul small brush or cut-up tree stumps on a lawnmower trailer. Ride-on mowers can be transported with a ramp trailer and a few other items. Be cautious when transporting a ride-on mower; the machine is heavy and may damage other vehicles if it is not properly secured.

Park a vehicle with a tow hitch onto a flat, solid surface such as a driveway or residential street. Pull the ramp trailer up to the tow hitch, aligning the trailer tongue with the tow hitch ball. Fit the trailer tongue over the ball hitch. Snap down the lock if applicable. Connect the safety chains from the trailer to the tow package.
Lower the ramp on the trailer. Chock the trailer tires by placing chocks on the rear side of the trailer's tires. Start the ride-on mower and raise the deck to its highest position. Slowly drive the mower up the ramp. Park the ride-on mower over the trailer's axle to evenly distribute the weight.

Turn off the ride-on mower, but leave it in gear. Lower the deck to its lowest position. Apply the parking break and chock the tires on the rear end of the ride-on mower.
Fasten ratchet straps over the ride-on mower's hood and seat, securing the straps to the sides of the trailer. Raise the trailer's ramp and lock it into place. Place two additional ratchet straps over the front and rear of the ride-on mower to secure it.
