Recycle old jerseys by removing the iron-on numbers, or remove T-shirt transfers to iron on new designs. Save money on clothing when you remove T-shirt transfers rather than buying new shirts. It's rather easy to remove a T-shirt transfer, and the process only takes about 15 minutes.
Turn the T-shirt with transfer inside out. Slide the shirt onto then ironing board with the side that has the transfer facing up and flat. Plug in the iron and set it to high/cotton.
Wet a cloth rag. Wring it out until it is wet but not dripping. Blot the T-shirt transfer area with the rag until it is very damp, or lightly spray the area with a spray bottle.

Place a hot iron on the wet area. Rub the iron over the area in a circular motion until the fabric is dry. Watch closely to prevent scorching the fabric.
Lift the T-shirt off of the ironing board and turn it right-side out. Peel the transfer to remove.
Repeat the steps until the transfer is completely removed. Turn off the iron and unplug it from the electrical socket.
